Try PlayStation Plus for free
As a PlayStation Plus member, you have numerous advantages: you get free games, discounts on games and you also have the option of saving your games in the cloud. If you still have concerns or want to test the subscription for PS Plus for other reasons, you can do so free of charge. The most important information about the test subscription:
- You can test the subscription to PlayStation Plus free of charge for 14 days.
- In Germany, PlayStation Networks (PSN) members must be at least 18 years old. This also applies if you want to register for a test subscription. Therefore you have to confirm your age in the PSN.
- You can only sign up for the trial if you've never had a PlayStation Plus subscription. If you are not offered a trial version, but you are sure that you have not used a trial subscription or the paid version, contact customer service.
- You must provide your payment information when you register for the trial subscription. No contributions will be deducted during the test phase.
- Very important : If you do not cancel the trial subscription, it will be automatically renewed. After the 14 trial days, membership becomes a monthly subscription and you then pay a monthly fee. Notice of termination must be given at least 24 hours before the 14 days expire. Alternatively, you can contact customer service via email or telephone and cancel the subscription.
- If you want to continue membership, but do not want to pay monthly, but quarterly or annually, you have to buy the subscription you want in the PlayStation Store at least 24 hours before the trial period ends. The new subscription will only run after the end of the 14 test days.
What happens if you cancel your trial membership?
Here's what you need to know if you cancel your 14-day trial:
- You can continue to take advantage of the PS Plus membership until the 14 days expire, even if you cancel the subscription after two days, for example.
- There are no fees if you cancel your trial subscription in good time 24 hours before the trial ends. If you cancel too late, you will have to pay the fee for at least a month.
- You will no longer be able to access content that you received during membership free of charge after the end of the 14 days. However, if you used the discounts to buy content or have free avatars, they are still available.
- Should you still sign up for a "PlayStation Plus" subscription at a later date, you will have access to the free content that you had during the test phase.
