Reset PS Vita to factory settings - how it works
If your PS Vita is no longer working properly, you can reset it to the factory settings. We show you how to do this.
Reset PS Vita to factory settings
- Open the "Settings" and select the category "Start".
- Under "Format" you will find the option "Restore PS Vita system".
- With "Restore" you reset your PS Vita to the factory settings. Please note, however, that you will lose all data and settings on your console.
PS Vita: Recovery via recovery menu
If you have to restore your PS Vita without knowing the password, this only works via the recovery menu.
- To do this, switch on the PS Vita and keep the power button pressed until the PS Vita is completely switched off.
- Then press and hold the PS button, the R button and the power button until the PS Vita starts again.
- In the recovery menu, select the fourth item "Restore PS Vita system".
- With "Restore" you finally reset the device to the factory settings.
