PS3: Connect a Bluetooth headset to a cell phone - how it works
In the following instructions we will show you how to connect your PS3 Bluetooth headset to your cell phone or smartphone.
Connect the PS3 Bluetooth headset to the iPhone
- Turn off your Playstation 3 first.
- In order to connect the Bluetooth headset to the iPhone, you must first activate Bluetooth on your device. To do this, select "Settings" and then "Bluetooth".
- Slide the slider to the right to activate your Bluetooth. Your iPhone will now search for available Bluetooth devices.
- Now hold down the power button of your switched off headset for a while. The headset should start to blink.
- The Bluetooth headset should now appear on your iPhone. Now select the headset on the iPhone. You will now be asked for a password. Unless you have created an individual password, it is "0000".
- Your iPhone should now be connected to the PS3 Bluetooth headset. If you receive a call, you can also make a call using a headset.
Connect the PS3 Bluetooth headset to Android
- Turn off the Playstation 3.
- Now activate Bluetooth on your Android device. To do this, select "Settings" and then "Wireless and networks".
- Now switch on your Bluetooth.
- Now hold down the power button of your switched off headset for a while. The headset should start to blink.
- The headset should now appear on the Android device. Select it so that the two devices can connect to each other.
- You will now be asked for a password. Unless you have created an individual password, it is "0000".
- Now you can select the headset for calls.
The device was tested with the iPhone 4 (iOS 7.0.4), a Samsung Galaxy SII and the original PS3 Bluetooth headset.
