If you want to buy a PlayStation 4, you should find out about all connections of the PS4 beforehand. We show you which connections are available and which cables you need for this.
PlayStation 4: All ports on the front
- USB: There are two USB ports on the front of the PlayStation 4. Here you can connect and charge the controllers, as well as connect USB sticks and external hard drives.
- Drive: You will find the drive to the right of the USB ports. Games, CDs, DVDs and BluRays are read here.

- AUX: You can connect the PlayStation camera with the AUX connector. This can be used in some games, among other things.
- LAN: Of course, if you do not want or cannot establish a WLAN connection to the Internet, this also works via a LAN cable.
- HDMI: Image and sound are sent simultaneously to the TV or monitor via an HDMI cable. A scart connection is not available.
- S / PDIF connection: If you do not want to transmit the sound to the television using an HDMI cable, you can connect the optical audio output to your home theater system or a stereo system.
- Controller: You will also find an AUX connection on the controller. Here you can connect a headset or headphones.
