PS4: Playroom - what is it?

You have probably already noticed the playroom in the PS4 menu. We explain what this is in this practical tip.

What is playroom?

The "The Playroom" software is preinstalled on every PS4.

• It is an augmented reality software.
• You need the PS4 camera to use the software.
• The software is a kind of demo to showcase the capabilities of the PS4 controller DualShock 4.
• In the software you see yourself mirrored. You will encounter small robots with which you can interact.
• You can try out all kinds of effects with your controller on these robots. For example, if you vacuum up the robots with your controller, you can cover the light bar of your controller so that the robots (which are now in the controller) are left in the dark.
• Discover the various interaction options and receive trophies.
