PS4: Clear memory - how it works
You can delete the memory on your PS4 so that you have more space for new games and films. The memory is occupied, for example, by game installations or the recording gallery.
Clear memory on PS4 - so go ahead
If you no longer have enough space on your PS4, you can change this in the system settings. Delete unused applications to free up more space:
- Start your PS4, press the [Up] button on your controller and navigate to the "Settings" item.
- Scroll down and then select "System Storage Management".
- The system now shows you the used memory.
- For example, click on "Applications" or "Recording Gallery" to see which programs use how much memory.
- Then select the desired program with the cursor and then click on the Options button on your PS4 controller. To delete the program, you must now confirm your entry with "Delete".
