PS4: Load saves via online storage
If you have a Playstation Plus membership, you can upload your PS4 saves to online storage. This gives you access to your current game status from any PS4 system.
Upload PS4 saves
As a Playstation Plus member, you no longer have to move your saved data to a USB stick and then carry it to a friend's Playstation system. Thanks to the online storage, it is easy to transport your scores:
- Start your PS4 and log in with your user account.
- Press up on your directional pad (or with your left stick).
- Now move the cursor all the way to the right and open the "Settings" item.
- In the next window, select "Management of the data saved by the application" and then "Saved data in system memory".
- Now all you have to do is click on "Upload to online storage" and your scores will be uploaded.
Download saves to another PS4 system
Once your scores are saved in online storage, you can access your game progress from any other PS4 system. All you have to do now is load your data onto the desired PS4 system:
- Log in to a PS4 system using your user account.
- Now press on your PS4 controller with the directional pad (or left stick) upwards.
- Next, navigate all the way to the right and select the menu item "Settings" and then "Management of the data saved by the application".
- In the next window, click on "Saved data in online storage" and then activate the "Download to system storage" option.
By the way, you can also take screenshots with your PS4, as we will show in the next article.
