Connect PSP to TV - how it works
If you want to connect your PSP to a television, you have several options. In this practical tip, we present these to you.
Option 1: Connect the PSP to the television using the component AV cable
A component AV cable is suitable for the PSP Slim and the PSP Lite:
- However, it should be noted that the television has NTSC support: NTSC denotes the video format in which the transmission is shown.
- The television must also have the "Progressive Scan" function, otherwise no game content can be transmitted.
- Feature for this cable: It has five connections.
- Please note: the transmission quality and format depend on the TV used and may vary between different devices.
Option 2: Connect the television to the PSP using a standard AV cable
A standard AV cable is also suitable for PSP Slim and PSP Lite:
- Unfortunately, no game content can be transferred to the TV with this standard cable. Therefore, you can only play photos, videos and music content on the TV.
- Here, too, the television must support the NTSC format, otherwise no picture can be displayed.
- This cable has three connections: two for the sound and one for the transmission of the picture.
- Note: The quality of the transmission can also depend on the television.
