PUBG in the tropics: All information about the new map

For the exciting battle royale game PUBG there is a new map in the tropical setting. You can find information about the map in our article.

New map for PUBG

The new map in PUBG is called "Sanhok" and offers you a hilly island in the tropics.

With a size of 4x4 kilometers, the map is significantly smaller than the two previous ones - Erangel and Miramar are 8x8 kilometers.
Due to its size, "Sanhok" ensures fast battles and a fast-paced gaming experience.
The map has been available to all PUBG players since June 22, 2018. If you only want to play Sanhok, select "Mini Royale" before starting matchmaking.
Matchmaking on the mini map is not based on MMR, but is also not counted. As a casual player, you can be thrown together with professionals.

The smaller map also brings some changes with regard to the zones:

The red zone is smaller than on the larger maps.
The waiting times between the zones are reduced.
Bombs are falling more and more on the outer edge of the blue zone - this is to ensure that you move quickly towards the next zone.
DMRs, submachine guns and assault rifles are more common on Sanhok.
