Reset pushTAN - it's that easy
Some banks, such as the savings banks, offer the pushTAN method for online banking on mobile devices.
- If you switch to a new smartphone, you have to reset the pushTAN to take over the function on the new device.
- First install the corresponding pushTAN app - in the case of the Sparkasse this would be the S-pushTAN app - on your new mobile device.
- When you start the app, you will first be asked to assign a password. Tip: You should definitely remember this password. You need it to get the TAN.
- Then open your bank's website in the browser and log in with your pushTAN access data.
- The next step may vary depending on the bank. At the Sparkasse, go to "Service -> PIN / TAN management -> Reset pushTAN" under "Online banking".
- The current data of your pushTAN connection will then be displayed. This includes, for example, the device name, the shipping method and your mobile phone number. You can edit or add to them here.
- If the information is correct, click on the "Reset" button. A security question follows in which you have to enter your date of birth and your card number.
- If you click here on "Next", a message appears on the screen that you still have to activate the pushTAN connection.
- To do this, you must enter the activation code that you have just received from your bank as an SMS in a mask. This mask appears as soon as you click the "Activate now" link on the screen.
