QNAP: Setting up a virtual machine on the NAS - Here's how
- Log in to the NAS as an administrator and switch to the desktop.
- Click here on the "App Center" and look for the addon "Virtualization Station". Click "Add to QTS" to install it.
- The minimum requirements are checked during installation, after which you can start right away.
- In the first step, specify which folder should be the default folder for the add-on.
- Then select the network adapter that will be used for your virtual machines.
- After that you have successfully set up the addon and can now create a new virtual machine on the left side on "Create VM".
- Using an example under the Virtualbox software, you can see how you can create a new virtual machine.
