Open QuarkXPress document in InDesign - does it work?
The QuarkXPress and InDesign layout software are actually not compatible. Here we show you how to open a document from QuarkXPress in InDesign.
Open QuarkXPress in InDesign - this is how you do it
You can import QuarkXPress versions 3.0 and 4.0 into Adobe InDesign CS6. In QuarkXPress, you must first save the document in an older version. To do this, choose "File" -> "Save As" and select an old QuarkXPress format.
- Then click "File" -> "Open" in Adobe InDesign.
- Select the QuarkXPress file and open it.
- Now save the file as an InDesign template.
