View the source code of a website
By having the source code of a website displayed, you can not only understand the code of the homepage, but also find out, for example, direct links to integrated images. The source code of a website can be found using Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Internet Explorer - however, the three browsers differ somewhat.
View the source code of a website with Google Chrome
If you use Google's browser, access the source code of a homepage as follows:
- Right-click in an empty area of the homepage.
- Select the entry "Show page source text". The source code of the website is displayed in a new tab.
Mozilla Firefox also shows you the source code of a homepage
If you are a fan of the burning foxes and use the Firefox browser, you can also find the source code of a website with two clicks:
- Right-click in a free area of the respective website with the mouse.
- Select "Show Page Source Text". The source code of the website opens in a new window.
View the source code of a website using Internet Explorer
You can also view the source text of an Internet website with the good, old Internet Explorer:
- Right-click in a free area of the relevant website.
- Now select "Show source code". The source code of the website is displayed in a new window within Internet Explorer.
