View the source code of a website with Safari
If you want to read the source code of a website in Safari 6, this is much more difficult than with Firefox, for example. We'll show you how to do it.
The source code in Safari - how to find it
- To get to the source code of a website, you must first activate the developer mode: Open the Safari settings and click on "Advanced".
- Activate the box "Show menu developer in the menu bar".
- You can now close the window and find the item "Developer" in the Safari menu bar.
- Click on this tab and open "Show page source text". The source code of the website then appears.
- Alternatively, you can use the shortcut [cmd] + [alt] + [U] to display the page source text.
Tip: In another practical tip, we will show you how you can display all saved passwords in Safari.
