Uninstall Quicktime - that's how it works
If you no longer want to use Quicktime, you can simply uninstall the program. We show you how it works.
Remove QuickTime completely
When Windows is uninstalled manually, not all files and registry entries are completely removed. If you also bother with the remains of Quicktime, remove the software with these instructions. The classic variant through Windows can be found in the next paragraph.
- Download and run the free "GeekUninstaller" tool. An installation is not required.
- Look for the entry "QuickTime" and select it with the mouse.
- The deinstallation program starts with a double click. The uninstaller then searches for the remaining files.
- If you click the "Finish" button, the remaining files and registry entries are also deleted.
Uninstall QuickTime classically - how it works
- First open the Control Panel on your computer.
- Under the "Programs" category you will find the "Uninstall a program" option.
- Look for "QuickTime" in the list and click on the "Uninstall" button at the top.
- If you follow the further instructions, QuickTime will be uninstalled.
- Note: If you do not have iTunes installed, remove the "Apple Software Update", Apple Application Support "and" Bonjour "programs.
