- Quinoa is a type of pseudo grain. The use here is similar to that of regular cereals. However, there is no relationship, since quinoa is not a type of grass.

- Quinoa contains a lot of high quality protein. A whole 14 grams are in 100 grams of quinoa. The pseudo grain is a good supplier for all important amino acids.
- Quinoa also contains iron, folic acid, magnesium, zinc and manganese. This is how you provide 100 grams of the pseudo-grain with a quarter of your daily iron requirements, half magnesium and daily manganese requirements.
- But it goes on. Quinoa consists of complex carbohydrates that are only released into the bloodstream via a long process. Because of this slow process, the body is supplied with energy for longer.

How to use quinoa
Quinoa can be used to prepare tasty salads. You can also make pancakes or patties with the grains or simply serve quinoa as a side dish with vegetables, fish or meat.
- Store quinoa in an airtight box in a light-protected place. Quinoa cannot be kept for a long time. So eat it quickly, otherwise it will go rancid.
- You have to boil quinoa to process as a side dish or salad. To do this, wash the pseudo-grain and put almost twice the amount of water in a pot in relation to the grain. Bring the grains to a boil and then let them simmer a little over low heat and without a lid. Stir occasionally.
- Then loosen the grains with a fork. Let the mixture rest until the grains have absorbed all the water.
- Now you can use it to prepare salads, patties or pancakes. Quinoa is also suitable as a side dish with vegetables or chicken.
