The best way to find out the times of prayer and Lent in the Islamic month of Ramadan is online in a special Ramadan calendar. We have put together the three best for you.
1. IGMG's online Ramadan calendar
The Islamic Community Milli Görüş makes a Ramadan calendar available online every year. It offers you a good overview of the times of prayer and Lent in German and Turkish and is free of charge.
- You can directly choose your place of residence or the next largest city of your place of residence. In the selection you will find all of Germany and various international cities.
- Above the calendar is the note "Fitre 10 €" and is reminiscent of the charity donation in the month of Ramadan and gives the guide value of 10 euros.
- After choosing your place of residence, you will receive the calendar free of charge as a PDF. All you have to do is click on the red arrow labeled "PDF". You can save the calendar directly or print it out - practical!
- All Turkish terms are also translated into German in pale letters immediately below.
- The individual columns offer a good overview: in addition to the day of Ramadan, you will find the date of the Gregorian calendar. At the end of each column there is still some space for invitations to break the fast in the evening (Iftar).
- The numbers printed in gold in the preview mark the beginning and end of a fasting day.
2. Design your own Ramadan calendar online
It's completely free with the Imsakiye Creator. Imsakiye is Turkish and means "calendar".
- You can find the calendar of your choice in four steps: Enter your place of residence, the desired design and the title text of the calendar. Afterwards, however, you have to enter and send your full name and email address as the last step. The calendar will then be sent to you by email.
- By selecting the small additional option, you can also send current aid projects to the association "muslimehelfen e. V." by email.
- You can download the Ramadan calendar for free as a PDF or iCal file (Mac OS X).
- The calendar is clearly arranged with its columns for the date and the times of prayer and Lent. The beginning and end of the fasting day are each printed in bold. Otherwise, the lettering is mostly Turkish and the individual days of the month of Ramadan are named by numbers.
3. Prayer times for Ramadan online
If you want to know the prayer times for the whole year in your place of residence, the guide on islam.de is recommended. From these times you can also see the fasting times for the month of Ramadan: Fasting takes place from the Fadjr prayer to the Magreb prayer.
- This is a table with the prayer times for the whole year. They are listed as text with an Arabic name. The English name of the Gregorian calendar month precedes the Islamic month. The calendar is also divided according to these.
- A good solution for quick and free research of prayer times - but rather unsuitable for an overview of the fasting month of Ramadan.
