Set up Bluetooth on Raspberry Pi
To set up Bluetooth on your Raspberry Pi, you only need a compatible Bluetooth dongle, which you connect to your Raspberry via USB. Then do the following:
- First you should update the installed packages on your Raspberry.
- You then have to install the required Bluetooth software in the console using the "sudo apt-get install bluetooth bluez blueman" command.
- Then restart your Raspberry with the command "sudo reboot".
- After your Raspberry has started up again, enter the command "lsusb" into the console. This shows all connected USB devices, including your Bluetooth dongle.
- Finally, you can query the Bluetooth status with "/etc/init.d/bluetooth status". Here you should get the message "[ok] bluetooth ist running".
- To connect to devices, you will now find the Bluetooth Manager on the desktop under "Menu / Settings".
