Raspberry Pi: Important system information
With the following commands you can quickly display all important information about your system:
- df -h: This command shows you the current memory usage of your system.
- free -h: With this command you can find out the current utilization of your working memory.
- uptime: How to find out how long your Raspberry Pi has been switched on.
- who: Shows you the currently logged in users on your Raspberry Pi.
- last: This command shows you the last logins on your system.
- top: Lists all currently running processes.
Raspberry Pi: basic functions and commands
- sudo apt-get install "package name": With this you can install packages from the official package list.
- cd "folder name" /: With this command you can switch to the folder "folder name".
- cd ..: You can go back one folder level.
- sudo cp "filename" "target": Copies the file "filename" to "target".
- "Command" --help: Displays help for the "Command" command.
- ls: With this command you can display the contents of the current folder.
- logout: This will log you out of the console.
- sudo mkdir "folder name": This command creates the folder "folder name".
- sudo rm "filename": Deletes the file "filename".
- sudo rm -r "folder name": Deletes the entire folder "folder name".
- Startx: Starts the graphical user interface.
- sudo shutdown -h now: With this command you can shutdown your Raspberry Pi.
- sudo reboot: Reboots your Raspberry Pi.
