Remastered songs - what does that mean?
- In general, the addition "remastered" stands for the post-processing of a song. Older analog recordings were originally digitally reworked years later.
- Due to technical progress there are numerous possibilities to edit old songs again. For example, classics from Pink Floyd become much clearer and noise can be removed.
- Songs in the recording studio can be easily optimized or significantly improved. Technically, the new end product should be of higher quality, but true fans usually prefer the original version.
- The addition "remastered" is also used for very young songs or computer games that have been optimized again after a few years.
