Pension insurance number lost - what to do?
If you have lost your pension insurance number, also known as the social security number, you can ask your health insurance provider for this.

Your pension insurance number, actually social security number, will be sent to you by post if you enter into an employment relationship that is subject to social security contributions. If you have misplaced the letter, you can ask your health insurance provider for the pension insurance number:
- Call the customer service of your health insurance company. You will usually find the number on the back of your insurance card.
- You can have your social security number communicated, stating your name and insurance number. This will be sent to you by post within a few days.
- You will also find your insurance number on your insurance card.
