The best tips and tricks for Rocket League
There are no values in Rocket League that can be improved. Likewise, there are no vehicles with higher speeds. Whether you win or lose depends entirely on your skills. Nevertheless, we give you some tips here and introduce game tricks that you should consider if you want to emerge from a match as a winner.
- Beginners in particular often make the mistake of racing wildly at the ball. It makes sense in single matches, but in a team it can be smarter that you look at the situation from a distance and wait for the right moment. Even in real football, not all players run onto the ball at the same time, but spread out on the field.
- At kick-off there is a way to reach the ball faster. To do this, push the analog stick forward and repeat the X button. They roll over, but get a little boost from the double jump. This trick can also be used if you have no boost and want to quickly return to your goal.
- There is a similar trick if you want to hit particularly high balls. Take a simple jump and pull the tip of the vehicle up with the analog stick. Now use a boost. They fly upwards like a rocket and can fish the ball from the air.
- In some cases it can be helpful if you take out your opponents and clear the way to the goal for a teammate. If you reach enough speed with the boost, you will see lines appear on the screen that represent your wind. As soon as you reach this speed and ram an enemy, it explodes and only reappears a few seconds later.
- The matches in Rocket League can quickly become confusing and you may lose sight of the ball. Fortunately, there are two camera options: Just press "triangle" and the camera is fixed on the ball - so you have everything in view again. You can always change the camera perspective as it suits you best.
- Sometimes it is worth taking a detour. Boost platforms are located at the corners and edges of the arenas that fill your boost display directly. If the ball flies through the air for a long time, this detour is particularly suitable.
