Rocket League: The Best Easter Eggs
The developers of Rocket League did not miss the chance to incorporate Easter Eggs into their indie hit. We'll show you the funniest and most curious secrets of the auto soccer hit.
Unlock SARPBC music in Rocket League - the best Easter Eggs
With a cheat code you can unlock the music of the previous game "Super Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars" on the title screen.
- For the Easter egg you need the "Konami code". This code was and is used in many Konami games as a kind of running gag. However, many other game developers also join this fun.
- For Xbox controllers: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A.
- For PlayStation controllers: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, Circle, X.
- Enter this code as soon as the game starts - that is, you can see it on the Psyonix and Unreal screens.
- As soon as the Rocket League title screen is displayed, press the "Start" or "Options" button.
- You can now view your car as usual, but the music changes and the background in the distance has been adapted to the previous game.
Other smaller Easter eggs in Rocket League - a collection
- When you have selected the money missile track, you should pay closer attention to the banknotes. These show a puffer in the middle, which refers to a previous game. There the puffer fish could be used as a power-up.
- There is also an Easter egg on the locomotive hat for your car. In a wagon you can make out a loaf of bread, which is to be understood as an inside gag of the developers. One of the developers proclaimed in a tweet that he hated bread.
- The names of the AI opponents are also striking. These refer to astronauts (e.g.: Armstrong, Buzz) or the television series Game of Thrones (e.g.: Imp, Hound).
