Rocket League doesn't start - you can do that
There is hardly anything that makes the mind boil as much as when the favorite game does not start. For Rocket League we give you some general solutions that in my cases fix the problem.
Rocket League doesn't start - common Steam errors
- The most common problem is that Steam first syncs game data before the game can start. In this case, you usually just have to wait. This can take a few minutes and occurs especially if you are playing on a different computer.
- You can also check this game data for errors by right-clicking on Rocket League in your Steam library, selecting the "Local data" tab and clicking "Check game files for errors".
- In addition, you should try to right-click Steam "Start as administrator" and run Rocket League individually by right-clicking as administrator. You can find the rocketleague.exe on your PC under "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ rocketleague \ Binaries \ Win32".
- For special error messages (such as "Error 67") you should contact the developer. They have set up a "Help and Support Forum".
- If none of these tips helped, you can also reinstall Rocket League or Steam.
Rocket League does not start - driver and system errors
- First update the driver of your graphics card. We have written detailed instructions for the two manufacturers Nvidia and ATI-Radeon.
- Open the Task Manager with [Ctrl] + [Alt] + [Esc] and check whether background processes and apps that you do not need may draw too much system power.
- Also try removing the controller or adapter if you are using one and restart the PC.
We'll explain what you can do when Rocket League is down in the next practical tip.
