Hide root rights: Uninstall SuperSU
If you are not yet familiar with the subject of "rooting", we recommend that you read this practical tip first. If you have already rooted your device with SuperSU, you must first remove the app. Instead, we want to install Magisk, which can hide root rights from other apps.
- To do this, open SuperSU and go to Settings.
- Then click on "Full Unroot" and confirm in the pop-up that you definitely want to remove the root access.
- Then your device restarts. After that you have no root access for the time being.
Android: Install Magisk
The Magisk root tool is particularly practical because it integrates protection against reading out the root status and can hide root rights.
- First download a current version of Magisk and save the file on your smartphone. You also need the Magisk Manager as an APK file.
- Then boot into recovery mode (preferably TWRP is installed) and select "Install ZIP". Now tap on the Magisk file and install it.
- Then select "Wipe" and clear the "Dalvik cache". Then you can restart your device.
- Now install Magisk Manager with the Installer package. Now you have full root access again.
- In the manager you will also find the "Magisk Hide" function, with which you can hide your root access.
