Calling number with Congstar - how it works
With the mobile service provider Congstar, the number portability is quite unproblematic. However, the procedure differs slightly - depending on whether you have a contract or use a prepaid card for your smartphone.
Congstar: Call number transfer from contract customers
- If you have concluded a contract with your current provider, you are bound by the relevant notice periods. Most of the time, you must have submitted the cancellation in writing to your mobile operator at least three months before the end of the contract. Cancellation templates for many providers can be found in our download area.
- After canceling your old contract, order your new SIM card from Congstar. You can easily request that you take your number with you during the ordering process.
- Congstar will credit you with 25 euros for the change. Unfortunately, you won't have much of the money for too long, because your previous provider will charge you the so-called porting costs.
- Further information and ready-made termination letters can also be found on the Congstar website.
Congstar: Number portability for prepaid customers
- First, you should inquire about the porting costs incurred by your current mobile operator. As a rule, it is 25 euros and this credit must then also be available on your prepaid card. Once the number has been transferred, Congstar will credit you with the 25 euros.
- You can cancel your previous mobile operator by sending them a waiver.
- Then order your prepaid card from Congstar. Enter the phone number you would like to take with you during the ordering process. Congstar takes over the further formalities with the previous provider.
- Further information and a prepared waiver for smooth number portability are available directly from Congstar.
