Call number transfer to Telekom - how it works
Like many other mobile operators, Telekom offers number portability. You can find out exactly how this works in this practical tip.
This is how the number transfer to Telekom works
- If you have a mobile phone contract, you should pay attention to the appropriate notice period so that you can cancel your contract with the current mobile phone provider on time.
- If you have a prepaid card, send your current mobile operator a so-called waiver. You can get this directly from the provider.
- With prepaid cards, you can take your phone number with you at the earliest 123 days before the end of the contract or at the latest 90 days afterwards.
- As a rule, the mobile operators charge a fee for porting, which is usually 25 euros. Contract customers are automatically debited, prepaid customers should make sure that their SIM card has the corresponding credit.
- You can then request to take your phone number with you either in one of the Telekom shops or online when you order your new SIM card.
If you do not want to switch to Telekom, but on the contrary want to cancel your Telekom mobile phone contract, this is quickly done.
