Setting up call diversion in the Fritzbox: how it works
If you are not at home for a long time, you can set up call forwarding in the Fritzbox so that you can receive all calls outside your four walls. We'll show you how it's done.
Activate call forwarding in the Fritzbox
- Open the fritz.box user interface and log in with your password.
- Select "Call forwarding" in the menu on the left under "Telephony".
- Click the "New Call Forwarding" button on the right.
- You can now choose whether you want to forward all or only certain calls (see picture).
- Then select a destination number and click "OK" to save your settings.
Please note that forwarding calls may result in costs for you. This is because a second connection is established, which you may be charged. For example, you pay for the connection from your landline to your cell phone if you have your calls forwarded there.
You can also forward calls via the Fritzbox to the answering machine. You can find out how to activate and set this in this practical tip.
