Runtastic: GPS doesn't work - what to do?
If your GPS does not work in the Runtastic app, check the following settings.
Step 1: Runtastic does not work - activate GPS
You may have deactivated the GPS on your smartphone. Then do the following:
- If you have an Android smartphone, activate the GPS in the following way. This practical tip also explains what you can do if your GPS is faulty.
- You can activate GPS on your iPhone as described here.
- Also note that GPS usually doesn't work in rooms.
Step 2: Allow Runtastic GPS - this is how you proceed
Perhaps Runtastic does not have permission to access your location. This can be the case especially under iOS, then proceed as follows.
- Go to the "Settings".
- Tap "Privacy" and there "Location Services".
- Scroll down and tap "Runtastic"
- Select "Always" at this point.
- If Runtastic still does not find a GPS signal, it is best to contact Runtastic support and describe the problem.
