Ryanair: cancel flight online - is it possible?
You can change a flight on Ryanair, but you cannot cancel it. Despite the many flight cancellations that are currently happening at Ryanair, the group does not allow cancellation. However, Ryanair must notify its customers of the cancellation two weeks before departure. If this does not succeed, the group has to offer an alternative connection. When changing your flight details, you have the following options:
- You can change flight details, flight times and routes up to 4 hours before departure. To do this, you must select the "Manage Booking" item on the Ryanair website.
- Name changes are possible up to 4 hours before the outbound flight.
- A change is no longer possible once you have checked in online.
- If you do not start the trip, no refund of the flight price is possible.
- If the flight is canceled, you can apply for a flight tax refund. Please note the next section.

Ryanair: Refund of taxes if the flight does not start
If you are unable to start your flight, you have the option to apply for a refund of flight taxes within one month. To do this, proceed as follows:
- There is a fee of 20 euros for the refund. If the amount you want to be refunded is less, no refund is possible.
- Submit a written application to Ryanair for reimbursement of flight taxes levied by the state.
