The Galaxy Note models offer you the practical stylus S-Pen, which you can use for many functions. In this practical tip we give you tips on how to use the S-Pen cleverly.
Samsung Galaxy Note: Use S-Pen cleverly
The S-Pen offers you a number of functions with which you can switch between screens as well as between the writing function and the erasing function. You can use the stylus to navigate through the programs.
- You can return to the previous screen with the S-Pen. Hold down the button on the S-Pen and draw a lying "V", which is open to the right, on the screen.
- If you want to call up the options menu in an app, keep the button on the S-Pen pressed and draw an inverted "V" on the display.
- If you want to make a note while you are on the phone, you can start the note by pressing the pen button twice by tapping on the display.
- A screenshot cannot only be created with keyboard shortcuts. You can use the stylus to take screenshots of your current screen. Press and hold the pen button on the display. The image will then be automatically saved in your screenshot folder.
- The S-Pen simplifies the marking of texts in documents. Press the button on the S-Pen and select the text by drawing a line over the text.
S-Pen: Label photos
You can use the stylus on the back of an image to create a note. Important notes on pictures are marked and can not be forgotten.
- Open the options menu in the gallery. To do this, hold down the S-Pen key and draw an inverted "V" on the display.
- From the Options menu, click "Add Photo Note". The image is now turned over so that you can label the back.
- The picture with the note is marked with a pencil symbol in the top right corner. So you can quickly find the picture with the note.
S-Pen: Define quick commands
Quick commands make it easier for you to use them on your smartphone. With the S-Pen you can start applications such as e-mail, location display, messages, calls and Internet searches with quick commands. You can define these commands yourself beforehand.
- Navigate to Settings -> S-Pen -> Quick Command Settings. Tap "Add Command" and choose the application you want to run from the S-Pen.
- You can now use the stylus to draw a symbol on your display. The application can then be started.
