Safari on Mac: how to change language
There is no option in Safari to customize the language. Instead, the browser adopts the language settings of the operating system. If necessary, you can change the language on your Mac.
- First, open System Preferences on your Mac. This works, for example, by clicking on the Apple logo in the top left> "System Settings ...".
- Select "Language & Region".
- In the "Preferred languages" field, go to the plus symbol and add the language in which you want to use Safari.
- You will then see a query asking whether you want to use the selected language as the primary language. Go to the blue button "... use" here.
- To apply the primary language to the entire system, you now need to restart your Mac.
- If you open Safari after restarting, the language has been changed.
