Speed up Safari browser
There are a few tricks on Mac OS X to make your Safari browser faster. Especially the website data can slow down the surfing speed. You should therefore delete them from time to time. However, please note that cookies and login data will be deleted.
- Start Safari.
- Press "Safari"> "Settings ..." in the Apple system bar.
- Now select the "Data protection" tab.
- Then press "Remove all website data".
- Now restart Safari.
Safari should be faster: run plug-ins
From a Mac OS X version of 10.9 you can also use another setting to make the Safari browser faster. The plug-ins should start immediately to load the website faster.
- Start Safari again.
- On the Apple system tray, click Safari> Preferences ...
- Select the "Advanced" tab here.
- Remove the check mark next to "Stop plug-ins to save energy".
Faster in private mode
You also have the option to use Safari in private mode. In this way, the Safari browser does not create any website data from the start. To start private mode, you have to press "File"> "New private window" in the Apple system bar.
