This tip shows you how to always start in private mode on the PC, iPhone and iPad in the Safari browser and thus leave no unnecessary surf tracks on the web.
Safari: Surf permanently in private mode
- Open the "Safari" app and tap "Private" at the bottom left. If you cannot see the entry, tap on the "Tab" symbol in the bottom right, then the entry "Private" also appears (see picture).
- In future, all surfing sessions will be private and will only save history and cookies temporarily until they are automatically deleted when the browser is closed.
- You can also recognize the activated private mode by the fact that Safari is now displayed in black or dark instead of white or gray when surfing (see picture).
- Warning: As long as the browser is running in the background, the history is not deleted.
- To close Safari completely, press the Home button twice until an overview of all open apps is displayed. Drag the Safari browser out of the screen with a swipe gesture.
- To permanently deactivate private mode, simply repeat the first point.
- Activate the private mode on your Mac by clicking on "Safari"> "Private Surfing" in the top left corner while Safari is open. If the check mark is set, you can also surf privately here.
