Safari: add pages to top sites - how it works
Safari will automatically create your top sites over time. You can also add pages to the top sites yourself to access them more quickly. We'll show you how it works.
Add web pages to the top sites in Safari on Mac
The quickest way to add a page to the top sites is via the URL line. However, this function is somewhat hidden:
- Open the desired page in Safari.
- Move the mouse over the URL line. The small symbol "+" appears on the left.
- Click on it and keep the trackpad pressed. A small window opens.
- Here you select the "Top Sites" option. The website will then appear in the overview of your top sites.
Alternatively: Manually add websites to the top Safari sites
- Open the page you want to add to the top sites.
- Click the Share icon in the top right corner (a square with an upward arrow).
- A small window opens. Select "Add bookmark" here.
- A small window opens again. Under "Add this page to:" open the drop-down menu and click on "Top Sites".
- Finally, enter a name for the website or leave the suggested name and click "Add".
