Safari: Hide sidebar - how it works
Sometimes the sidebar appears to appear on its own in Safari. We show you how to hide them again and use the entire screen for websites.
Hide sidebar in Safari
- At the top left of the forward and back button is a small window symbol, on which the sidebar is also shown (see picture). Click to hide and show the sidebar.
- Alternatively, you can use the key combination cmd + Shift + L to show and hide.
Hide the Safari sidebar via Settings
- The same option can also be found in the menu bar above: Click on "View" and then on "Hide sidebar".
- To show the Safari bar again, click on "Show Sidebar" under "View". Alternatively, use "Show sidebar for bookmarks", "Show sidebar for reading list" or "Show sidebar for sent links" - depending on which list you currently need.
