Safari: change homepage - how it works

How to change the homepage in Safari
Follow these steps to change the home page on Safari.
- Open Safari and select "Safari"> "Settings ..." in the status bar.
- Under "General" type in the complete URL under "Homepage" (see picture).
- Under "Open new window with" change the settings to "Homepage".
- When you open the browser again, the new start page appears.
