Root Samsung Galaxy Note 2 - a guide
To get extended rights on your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 you have to root the device. In this guide we show you how to do this.
Root the Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Please note: if you root your smartphone, the warranty may not apply. We also recommend that you create an Android backup of your data beforehand so that it can be easily restored in an emergency.
- First download the USB driver and the Odin program.
- Connect your Galaxy Note 2 to the PC and install the USB drivers.
- Disconnect the device from the PC as soon as the installation has been successfully completed.
- Switch the Note 2 to download mode by pressing the [Volume Down], [Home] and [Power] buttons simultaneously. Confirm the warning with [Louder].
- Now connect the device to your PC again and open the "Odin" program. In another practical tip, we will explain how Odin works.
- Click here on "PDA" and look for the downloaded file "cmw6-root-note2.tar".
- Start the process with one click. The process can take some time. Your device is then successfully rooted.
