Stop using the battery!
If the battery of your Samsung Galaxy S4 inflates, it can be easily recognized by a visible bulge in the middle. Even if the battery still has sufficient power: Stop using it and take it out of the smartphone.
Bloated battery - Step 1: Contact Samsung
If you do not want to simply buy a replacement battery, you can also contact the nearest certified Samsung service partner or Samsung customer service. Samsung will then send you a new battery for your Galaxy S4 free of charge.

Further handling of the inflated battery
Damaged batteries are considered dangerous goods. Do not send the battery back to Samsung as a letter or package. There is an increased risk of fire, you must pay for any damage that may occur during transportation.
