Samsung Galaxy S5: use split screen apps
With your Samsung Galaxy S5 you can use split screen apps - the magic word is multi window. We show you how to set the function.
Use two apps simultaneously with Multi Window
- Go to the settings and scroll down to "Multi Window".
- Tap "Multi Window" to make further settings. As soon as you drag the slider to the right to activate the feature, a small button with an arrow appears on the left edge of the screen.
- If you tap the new button, the multi-window storage opens. Here you can see all the apps that you can use for the Spiltscreen view.
- If you leave the settings by pressing the home button, you can start an app, for example Chrome.
- Now touch the multi window tray again. Hold and drag the app you want to start up to the top or bottom half of the screen.
- Now you have opened apps on the screen. You can change the size by moving the dividing line. By holding and dragging one of the apps, you can change positions just as easily.
Multi Window can remember combinations
If you use a combination of apps more often, simply save them:
- Tap the Multi Window Tray.
- Then tap the small gray arrow at the bottom and then select "Create".
- Name the group and confirm with "Done" and "OK". The selected combination is now displayed in the multi window storage.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 has other interesting functions to offer. For example, you can set up a fingerprint scanner.
