Setting up Samsung Galaxy S5: getting started
In this practical tip, you will learn how best to set up your Samsung Galaxy S5.
Step 1: Insert the battery and SIM card in the Samsung Galaxy S5
- After unpacking your new Samsung Galaxy S5, first insert the SIM card into the compartment.
- Now insert the battery with the correct polarity and close the battery cover.
- Then connect the supplied cable to the socket and connect the device to it to fully charge it.
Step 2: First steps with the setup wizard
- After you have successfully started the smartphone, you must enter the SIM pin. The setup wizard then opens automatically and guides you through the general settings.

- Finally, you can give the device an individual name and then complete the setup by clicking "Finish". You can then use the smartphone.
