Samsung Galaxy S5: Take a screenshot
With the Samsung Galaxy S5 you can take a screenshot in two different ways. We'll show you how to do both.
Classic: take a screenshot with a key combination
The usual way to take a screenshot with your Galaxy S5 is using the buttons:
- Press the power button and the home button at the same time and hold the buttons for about 2 seconds.
- If the frame of your device lights up briefly and a click sounds, the screenshot has been taken successfully.
Elegant: screenshot on the Galaxy S5 with a swipe gesture
With the Samsung Galaxy S5, you can also record the screen with a swipe gesture. However, some settings are necessary here.
- Navigate to the settings. Here you go to "Movements and Gestures" and on to "Record by Swiping". Activate the function with the slider.
- Now you can take a screenshot by swiping the edge of your hand across the screen. The direction doesn't matter.
- You can find the recordings in both versions in your gallery in the "Screenshots" folder.
