Black screen on Galaxy S7 - charge and reset
- It can happen that the battery of the S7 is so empty that it takes significantly longer for the phone to switch on again. Charge it for about 30 minutes.
- Then try turning on the phone. To do this, press and hold the on / off switch for about 15 seconds.
- If you don't see a Samsung logo, press and hold the power button and the volume down button for about 15 seconds. A soft reset is carried out and the cell phone restarts.

If the soft reset does not help, use the "wipe cache partition" function. This clears the cell phone's cache. It contains temporary files that can cause errors.
- Press and hold the power and home buttons and the volume up key for a few seconds.
- As soon as the device vibrates, release the power button. Press and hold the home and volume up buttons until you see the recovery menu on the screen.
- Use the volume keys to select "Wipe Cache Partition". Then restart your device via "Reboot System now".
- If the S7 still cannot be started, contact Samsung Customer Service.
