With the Galaxy S7 and the Galaxy S7 Edge, Samsung has launched two top smartphones on the market. We explain the differences between the two models in this article.
Differences between the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge
- Screen: The most striking difference is the size. The screen of the Galaxy S7 measures 5.1 inches, while the S7 Edge has a rounded 5.5-inch screen.
- Display: The resolution (2, 560 x 1, 440 pixels) and OLED technology are the same for both models.
- Battery: The Galaxy S7 has a battery with 3, 000 mAh, the Galaxy S7 Edge has a whopping 3, 600 mAh. But the power consumption is higher due to the larger screen.
- Memory, processor and camera: Both smartphones are equipped with the same hardware. An Exynos 8890 Octacore ((2.3 GHz Quad + 1.6 GHz Quad) works inside the flagship, the 32 GB memory can be expanded via micro SD and the camera snaps with 12 megapixels.
- Price: The Galaxy S7 Edge is 100 euros more expensive than the Galaxy S7 - 699 euros will cost the standard model, 799 euros the S7 Edge.
