Samsung Galaxy S8: Activate developer options - benefits
The developer options are deactivated on almost all Android smartphones.
- This is because inexperienced and ignorant users can quickly remove the functionality of your smartphone in the settings.
- For experienced users, however, the developer options offer immense added value.
- For example, you can allow bootloader unlocking there, activate an extended restart menu including reboot into the recovery system, or switch on USB debugging, which helps you above all when you connect your smartphone to the PC.
- But be careful! As mentioned, the developer options also include functions that can severely restrict or even remove the usability of the smartphone.
- You should therefore always inform yourself well before you switch individual functions on or off in the developer options.
