Samsung Galaxy S8: activate camera flash - how it works
The Samsung Galaxy S8 can take good photos even in low light, but it works much better with flash. How to activate it, read below:
- First, open the camera app on your Samsung Galaxy S8. You can find the app in the menu or on one of the start page windows if you have moved it there.
- As soon as the app has opened, you will see a menu bar in the upper area. Various symbols are created there, including a flash. This flash symbol shows you whether the flash is activated or not.
- If there is a cross line through the flash, it is not activated at the moment. You can change this by tapping the flash until you see the flash without a dash. Then the camera flash is activated and you can use it immediately.
- Tip: If the flash should switch on automatically as soon as the lighting is too dark, set the symbol to "Auto". Then you will not always have to change the settings manually in the future.

You can also illuminate your selfies with additional light. You can find out how this works in the following:

- Then set the flash symbol there so that the flash is present without a dash. Now you can also take selfies with better illumination, because after the shutter button is pressed, the screen lights up brightly for a short moment.
- If you want to deactivate the function again, you only have to switch to the symbol with the crossed-out flash.
