Samsung Galaxy: smartphone no longer starts - what to do?
If your Samsung Galaxy smartphone no longer starts, it can usually only be restored by a rest. We show you exactly how to do this.
Safe Mode: Samsung Galaxy smartphone no longer starts
If the smartphone is still working but does not start properly, you can still save some data using Safe Mode:
- Press and hold the power button on the right of the device until the Samsung logo appears.
- Release the power button and hold the home button for a few seconds until the smartphone starts up.
- At the bottom left of the display you will see the lettering "Safe Mode".
- Remove any apps you recently installed and undo any settings that could be causing the problem. Back up all important data as well.
Perform a reset on the Samsung Galaxy smartphone
- Press and hold the power button, home button and volume up button for a few seconds at the same time.
- When the Android logo appears, you can release the buttons. You are now in recovery mode.
- Navigate with the volume buttons to the option "wipe data / factory reset" and select it with the power button.
- Then decide on the options "delete all user data" and "reboot".
