Samsung S2, S3, S4, S5, S6: memory full - you can do that
If the memory of your Samsung model S2, S3, S4, S5 or S6 is full, you do not necessarily have to reset the device to the factory settings. In this practical tip, we will show you two options with which you can create space again.
Samsung: Clear memory manually or via app
If your Samsung mobile phone shows the message "Not enough storage space" or "System memory almost full", it is time to make room for apps and the like:
- First of all, look for files that you no longer need. WhatsApp pictures and videos in particular take up a lot of space. Delete particularly large files.
- You may have installed apps that you don't use at all. You can uninstall these programs.
- If you have an external SD card, move programs or files onto it to free up the device memory.
- If you have shoveled enough space, install a cleanup app, e.g. B. All In One Toolbox. This self-explanatory program cleans up garbage files and cleans up the memory.
Empty internal memory by telephone code
If you do not use root or a custom ROM on your device, you can use the following trick:
- Open the phone keypad.
- Type * # 9900 # on the number pad.
- Now a menu opens.
- Now select "Run dumpstat / logcat".
- Confirm the deletion query with "Yes".
If this has not been successful with your Samsung cell phone, you can reset the device to the factory settings.
