Samsung: where does the popular manufacturer come from?
Almost everyone has already had to do with a Samsung product - whether it's a smartphone, TV or washing machine. But where does the popular technology manufacturer actually come from? We have the answer in this article for you.
Samsung: Where it all started
Samsung was founded on March 1, 1938 in Korea, more precisely in Daegu. At that time, however, no technical devices and machines were manufactured. Dried food, fish, fruit and vegetables were sold.
- The business collapsed several times during World War II and the Korean War, but founder Lee Byung-chull continued to build the company.
- Ten years after the company was founded, the focus of the company, whose name translates to "3 stars", was on the manufacture and operation of large processing machines.
- In the years that followed, the company grew rapidly by acquiring other companies or establishing new branches. This is how Samsung Electronics came into being. The manufacturer launched the brand's first television in 1970.
Samsung: How we know the company today
The company from South Korea has managed to assert itself in an international comparison and is particularly known for its smartphones.
- The company also holds several records, such as the thinnest TV or the largest smartphone display.
- The company is now headquartered in Seoul, South Korea and is now the country's most successful group.
