Samsung Galaxy A3 and A5: the differences
For the first time, the new models from Samsung do not come in a plastic housing, but are packed in a unibody aluminum housing.
- The biggest difference between the two smartphones is the display: the screen of the A3 measures 4.5 inches and has a resolution of 540 × 960 pixels. The display of the A5 has 5 inches and HD resolution (1, 280 x 720 pixels).
- The processor of the two devices is the same: a Snapdragon 410, quad-core with 1.2 GHz. However, the Galaxy A5 has 2 GB of RAM, the A3 only 1.5 GB. This makes the larger smartphone a little more powerful.
- Another difference can be seen in the camera: The A5 has a 13-megapixel camera, the A3 only has 8 megapixels.
- Depending on the display size, the weight and dimensions of both mobile phones also differ: the A5 measures 139.3 x 69.7 x 6.7 millimeters and weighs 123 grams, the A3 measures 130.1 x 65.5 x 6.9 millimeters and 110, 3 grams a bit smaller and lighter, but slightly thicker.
- Samsung's new galaxies differ in price by 100 euros: the A3 costs 299 euros, the A5 is available for 399 euros.
